Donna AmburgeyDonna Amburgey is the founder and owner of Juke Box Books, LLC, a publishing venture for road trip fiction. Donna defines road trip fiction as “books you could throw into your car or truck just before you leave on a long trip, containing a story you can relate to as you pass mile markers and lonely outposts like that diner/gas station/shoe store in eastern Colorado.” Donna is a lawyer, humanitarian, and a writer. Her former law practice assisted families with ordinary life challenges like divorce and family law, real estate closings, and estate planning. She has published a series of articles on mental health law policy in Illinois, as well as articles on bankruptcy, mortgage issues and real estate topics in BarBriefs, the journal of the Kane County Bar Association; and theSingleEdge, a magazine for single parent families. She has also published Meeting the Counseling Needs of Adult Students, in an Adult Counseling publication. A graduate of Northern Illinois University (B.A. 1974, M.A. 1977) in anthropology and Spanish, Donna also earned a J.D. from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana. She and her husband, Glynn Amburgey, are enjoying life in St. Charles and their blended family of seven children. Donna is proud to offer her first novel: Tears, Fears, and Arrowheads: Weeping Eye Sings, the first of a three novel series set in the American Southwest. Visit our website often.
